This place is incredible. Rebecca was very welcoming and helpful when we arrived. She met us at the car rental so that she could lead us back to the house. Rebecca lives just above the Turtle Dove House, and she let us know if we needed anything that we could call, email or just swing by which was very comforting. She gave us all the info we needed and a quick tour of the house, then left us to the beautiful views and incredible weather. The house was great and had everything we needed for a great vacation. There was brand new furniture throughout the house and it was all very comfortable, especially the master bed and the 2 loungers on the lower deck. We frequently ate breakfast and dinner on the porch and enjoyed the most incredible sunsets. The views are incredible. Literally views you would only think you could find in travel magazines. All the appliances etc worked great and were clean. The place was pretty well stocked as far as pots/pans etc.
Location wise, this place is excellent. You definitely want to be on the north side of Tortola, but the Turtle Dove House is well positioned with quick access to the best beaches on the North Side and a cut through road to the South side of the island. The coast road on the south side gives you easy driving and quick access to Road Town/Ferries and the West End Ferries. Only minor negative about the place is a little bit of a positive too. The driveway is extremely steep, which was a little scary at first, but we got used to it and started to have fun with it. We found out that you want a place that is high up like the Turtle Dove House. We met some neighbors at the bottom of the hill and they had a few issues with bugs. We were high enough up to catch the breeze, which kept all the bugs out. Also, all the doors have screens, which apparently isn’t the case at most places.
Overall, this place was a major part of what was the best vacation my girlfriend and I have ever experienced. Thanks, Rebecca. We can’t wait to come back.
